With my brother Deogratius Lutwama we presented the last walk exhibition at the Passaic County Art Center Gallery located in Hawthorne NJ. For the first time year I present my skills in Batik art work.

"WOMEN'S DECADE"

1986 NAIROBI, KENYA.
With a group of about 10 Ugandan artists I participated in the "Women's Decade"at exhibition at the New Stanley Hotel in Nairobi. It was a mile stone since I was only 15 at the time and this was the first time my work got any form of major recognition.

"FOR GREATER HORIZONS"

1988 NEW STANLEY HOTEL GALLERY NAIROBI, KENYA.
As my first solo exhibition it was successful beyond my wildest dreams. The press coverage was great and everybody just loved it. It was the pinnacle of my art experience in Nairobi and also helped to launch my art career to greater horizon.

"AFRICA"

1991 MIDHUDSON ART AND SCIENCE CENTRE POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK.
With long time friend Danpats Mwesigwa they did their first exhibition in the United States at the Mid hudson Art and Science Center in Poughkeepsie. New York. Having arrived to the US two years earlier they were struggling to put their art career back on track. This would prove to be harder than they thought and they would have to struggle for years. Dan joined the US Armed forces. Mubiru went to the Center for Media Arts.

"LAST OF THE WARRIORS"

1992 LAWRANCE GALLERY WARD NY, NEW YORK.
Finally Mubiru got to show his work in New York city. The show was not as successful he had originally hoped but it was a learning experience and a step in the right direction.

"MYTHS AND MYTOLOGIES OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA"

1998 HAMILTON HILL ART CENTER SCHENECTADY NEW YORK.
Myth and Mythologies of the African Diaspora began a long relationship with the Hamilton Hill Art Center's Jerry Burrell Gallery. Mubiru did three solo and group exhibitions at center.

"AFRICAN VIBRATIONS"

1994 SIENNA COLLEGE ALBANY, NEW YORK.
African Vibration broke new grounds for Mubiru. It included a art workshop and seminar. He got to explain and define his work. The students got to learn more about the different techniques of batik and oil painting.

"4th ANNUAL BLACK ART EXHIBITION"

2000 THE GALLERY AT SUMMIT BANK, PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY.
With about 10 international artists, this was a big event. He got to show his work with some of his piers in the art world.

"VANISHING AFRICA"

2008 BELSKIE MUSEUM, CLOSTER NJ.
This museum houses and preserves Abram Belskie's work. It's run by volunteers and it's a big fan of Mubiru work. He has done three exhibitions at the Belskie Museum
